Overview
Completing Farseer Fundamentals prepares candidates to understand how Farseer benefits organizations and enhances the planning process. It also equips them with the skills needed to execute planning within Farseer. Additionally, the course provides general knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis, common use cases and models, modeling fundamentals, collaboration, security, dashboards, and reporting.
Learning Outcomes
- Have solid understanding about Financial Planning and Analytics, what it is, how it’s done, key roles included, software support, etc
- Have solid understanding of all Farseer modules and features and how can they benefit organizations
- Understand and describe common business use cases where Farseer can help, describe and explain specific models like OPEX Planning, Sales Planning, CAPEX, HR…
- Basic theoretical understanding of modeling concepts in Farseer: Variables, Dimension Tables, Measures, Formulas
- Ability to do practical work in Farseer such as creating and populating sheets, creating dimensions, creating variables with simple formulas, creating dashboards with tables, charts and single value tiles
- Solid understanding the number entry in sheets – top-down, bottom-up, copy, update by percentages, forecast
- Basic understanding of collaboration and security in Farseer: users and groups, shares, assignments, comments
